Glossary of Terms

Applicant -

The person who applies for Child Support services.

Custodial Parent -

The person with whom the child(ren) primarily reside, and/or the person to whom payments are to be made under an order for child support.

Noncustodial Parent or Absent Parent -

The parent who is not the primary custodian of the child(ren), and/or the person who is obligated to make child support payments.
