Medicare Part B Payment Methodology
Temporary Restraining Order

Judge Steven Ohmer of St. Louis City issued a Temporary Restraining Order on February 27, 2003 to stop changes to Medicare part B payment methodology that were to begin March 1, 2003. The payment methodology and procedures for Medicare part B deductible and coinsurance will remain the same as current Department of Social Services, Division of Medical Services procedures.

Filing for Medicare part B Deductible and Coinsurance should revert back to using the Crossover Sticker. Until further notice, please discontinue submitting form MO886-4046, Medicare/Medicaid part B Crossover Form, for payment.

If providers have questions, they should contact the provider Communications Hotline at 1-800-392-0938. If recipients have questions, they should call Recipient Services at 1-800-392-2161.

Due to budget constraints no paper copies of this notice will be mailed. This notice will be posted on the Division of Medical Services website and posted in the Family Support Division county offices.

If changes occur in the payment methodology and procedures for Medicare part B deductible and coinsurance, further notice will be posted.
