Elimination of Paper Claims, Adjustments and Attachments

Effective July 1, 2005, there are some very significant changes being implemented that affects enrolled Medicaid providers:

• Paper claims, paper adjustments and paper attachments will be eliminated. Beginning July 1, 2005, all providers will be required to bill Missouri Medicaid electronically through the Division of Medical Services Internet billing site. If you currently are not a registered user at this site, please apply online at the Medicaid Web site.
• The toll free telephone number (800-392-0938) to Provider Communications is being eliminated. Beginning July 1, 2005, providers must call 573-751-2896 for assistance.

Additional details regarding these significant changes will be provided on an on-going basis through the Medicaid news or in the Medicaid provider bulletins.
