Pregnant women determined eligible for MC+ continue to be eligible for MC+ healthcare coverage when subsequent changes in income (including loss of $30 and 1/3 disregard) causes income to exceed the maximum. This continuous coverage ends the last day of the month in which the 60-day postpartum period ends.
Pregnant women who lose eligibility for MAF or another MC+ Family Healthcare program due to income or other factors which do not apply to the MC+ for Pregnant Women Program, also continue to be eligible for coverage. This continuous coverage ends the last day of the month in which the 60-day postpartum period ends.
Women becoming pregnant while receiving Transitional Medical Assistance are not eligible for continuous MC+ healthcare coverage.
If a woman is pregnant while receiving another MC+ Family Healthcare program (other than TMA, extended TMA, or Extended Women's Health), verify she was pregnant in the last month of eligibility. Then approve her for the MC+ for pregnant women program, giving prior quarter coverage as far back in the prior quarter as needed to provide continuous coverage for MC+.
