This program is currently only available in St. Louis. The program provides comprehensive health care services to Medicaid recipients 55 years of age or older, who otherwise would require the level of care required for coverage of nursing facility services. Recipients may voluntarily enroll in the program. Recipients who enroll in the program receive all of their Medicaid covered services from a PACE provider. Medicaid pays the provider a capitated basis, like a managed care plan.
To enroll in the PACE program an individual initially needs to contact an Intake Coordinator at the PACE site. To locate a PACE provider or obtain more information, contact the Department of Health and Senior Services.
PACE is temporarily unavailable effective May 1, 2016, due to a lack of providers.
