CHAPTER 5 - REFERRAL TO IL/VR PROGRAMS

REFERRAL TO RSB INDEPENDENT LIVING REHABILITATION PROGRAM

Children requiring services that may be provided under the RSB Independent Living Rehabilitation (ILR) program will be referred by the Children’s Specialist to the assigned Rehabilitation Teacher (RT) for that district. The RT will process that referral and provide services in keeping with the RSB ILR Policy Manual. The RT will be the case manager for any ILR cases, and the Children’s Specialist will serve as a consultant on that case. The CS case may remain open at the same time as the ILR case or may be closed if the case is transitioning to the adult ILR program.
