Dear Gary:

I am writing in response to your letter to Kathy Martin regarding the discontinuation of services for visually impaired persons who are incarcerated in state correctional facilities.

As you noted, RSB provide services to individuals who are incarcerated as a courtesy. Fiscal limitations have caused the agency to focus resources on mandated services, however, we are more than willing to work with you and your staff on a transition plan for providing services or assisting you in accessing services in the interim. Please feel free to contact my office to start this process and find a mutually agreeable solution.

Sincerely,

Denise Cross Director
