LIHEAP Application Timeline
**If application is received before the start of the program year the timeframe will be longer as applications cannot be processed until October 1 for Elderly/Disabled households or November 1 for all other households.
Day 1
LIHEAP Application is received and date stamped by the Local Agency
Day 3
LIHEAP Application is registered in the Energy Assistance System within 3 working days
Day 30
LIHEAP Application is fully processed within 30 calendar days
Day 31
Energy Assistance System generates a Customer Eligibility Listing to Supplier for pledge approval
Day 45
Supplier responds with approval or denial of pledge for client within 14 calendar days
Day 60
Department of Social Services sends payment to supplier for approved pledges within 15 calendar days
Crisis Application Timeline
Day 1
Application date stamped and registered by Local Agency
Day 2
Supplier contacted and pledge made
Day 47
Agencies must submit the payment to the supplier within 45 days of the pledge date
