Statewide Prevention Team Phase II: FCS Expansion

This phase of work is focused on expanding Family Centered Services (FCS) statewide through case management within the Statewide Prevention team. FCS is defined as an intervention provided by the Children's Division to help families address identified risk factors and safety threats with the goal of children remaining safely with their families while mitigating the likelihood of future system involvement. FCS cases offer home-based, preventative services through both direct services and connection to support and help available within their community.

FCS focuses on strengthening families, addressing crisis management, increasing family well-being, and developing sustainable safety networks and support aimed at lowering the risk of future concerns of child abuse or neglect. The Statewide Prevention team will work FCS cases with the intention to supplement, not supplant, circuit FCS cases to increase availability for service provision to families.
