Important Information About Your MO HealthNet Coverage

The Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS), Family Support Division (FSD), is writing to let you know about new federal rules that may affect your MO HealthNet coverage.

Starting January 1, 2027, some adults with MO HealthNet coverage will need to meet community engagement requirements to keep their health coverage.  Adults who need to meet community engagement requirements will also have their eligibility reviewed every 6 months instead of once every 12 months.

What is MACSS?

The Missouri Automated Child Support System (MACSS) is the state’s core platform for managing and distributing child support. It is overseen by the Missouri Department of Social Services’ (DSS) Family Support Division (FSD). MACSS is the backbone of Missouri’s child support enforcement and support systems, helping FSD Child Support staff work efficiently while maintaining, reliable services across the state. 

Adult Day Care Waiver Services

Thank you for your interest in the Missouri Medicaid Adult Day Care (ADC) Waiver Program. The ADC Waiver provides adult day care to active MO HealthNet participants ages 18 to 63 who meet the nursing facility level of care. Adult day care services under the Aged and Disabled Waiver provide adult day care to active MO HealthNet participants aged 63 and over. Adult day care services provide continuous care and supervision to disabled adults in a licensed adult day care setting.

Home & Community Based Services Enrollment

The MO HealthNet Division’s (MHD) enrollment of home and community-based providers plays an integral role in allowing the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) to provide home and community-based services (HCBS) to eligible individuals who wish to remain in a community setting. Home and community-based providers must make assurances regarding compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and orders related to the provision of services. 

Provider Revalidation

State and federal regulations require all currently enrolled MO HealthNet providers to revalidate their enrollment at least every five (5) years. 

To prevent payment delays or interruptions and possible enrollment termination, providers (or their authorized representatives) must complete and submit all revalidation applications and supporting documentation before their scheduled revalidation date. Providers may access their revalidation date in eMOMED.
