Missouri’s Early Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) program is called the Healthy Children and Youth (HCY) Program. HCY is a comprehensive, primary and preventive health care program for MO HealthNet eligible children and youth under the age of 21.
The MO HealthNet Division shall reimburse Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providers based on the reasonable cost of FQHC-covered services related to the care of MO HealthNet participants less any copayment or deductible amounts which may be due from MO HealthNet participants.
The Healthy Children and Youth Program ensures a comprehensive, preventive health care program for MO HealthNet eligible children under the age of 21. These services include environmental lead assessment.
The MO HealthNet Division covers the cost of durable medical equipment for participants. Durable Medical Equipment includes items such as prosthetics, orthotics, respiratory care equipment, home parenteral nutrition, ostomy supplies, wheelchairs, wheelchair accessories and batteries, hospital beds, etc.
The MO HealthNet Division currently offers comprehensive dental services for children, pregnant women, the blind, and residents of a nursing facility. Coverage for adults is limited and includes dental services and care related to trauma of the mouth, jaw, teeth, or other contiguous sites.
The Comprehensive Substance Treatment and Rehabilitation (CSTAR) Program provides services to individuals assessed as needing treatment for alcohol or substance use disorders.
The Comprehensive Day Rehabilitation Program was established which provides categorical, goal directed services to a population with a primary diagnosis of traumatically acquired brain damage resulting in residual deficits and disability. The program provides intensive, comprehensive services designed to prevent and/or minimize chronic disabilities while restoring the individual to an optimal level of physical cognitive and behavioral function within the context of the person, family and community.
The Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation (CPR) Program provides services to individuals with a serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance who meet diagnostic criteria for admission to CPR. This program provides community-based services designed to maximize independent functioning and promote community adjustment and integration.
Adult Targeted Case Management (TCM) services are intended to assist certain MO HealthNet eligible participants in gaining access to needed psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation, as well as other medical, social, and educational services and supports. Services include assessment, and periodic reassessment, case coordination, case monitoring, community reintegration, and case documentation. Reimbursement is limited to qualified MO HealthNet enrolled TCM providers.
Medically necessary behavioral health services are available to MO HealthNet eligible individuals. Behavioral health services include outpatient facilities, psychiatry, psychology, and counseling services.
