Checklists for Trusts

The checklists linked on this web page are designed to help attorneys and other people check the trusts they are submitting so the Family Support Division (FSD) can determine eligibility for MO HealthNet and other benefits and services. Apply for Temporary Assistance

What is Temporary Assistance?

Temporary Assistance (TA) is a cash benefit for low-income families to help cover costs for the household’s children, such as clothing, utilities and other services. Once you are approved for TA, you must participate in employment and training services through the Missouri Work Assistance (MWA) Program. This program will help you move away from needing cash benefits through TA by setting goals and helping you get the skills you need to find a job to support your family.

Food Distribution Program

What is the Food Distribution Program?

The Food Distribution Program helps people in need get USDA-donated foods from their local food pantry as part of The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). The Family Support Division also distributes food to summer food service programs for children, disaster relief, and six non-profit food banks that provide emergency food assistance to food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, domestic violence shelters, Kid’s Café’s, and other non-profit organizations.

Food Assistance

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) offers a monthly benefit to help those in need buy food and food products. Other programs, like the Food Distribution Program and Women, Infant and Children (WIC), may also be able to help. If you need help with food immediately, please reach out to your local food bank.
