Come join the Missouri Children’s Division! New opportunity for attorneys passionate about helping remove legal barriers to permanency for children in foster care! Children’s Division is seeking attorneys for full-time positions to work side by side with our social workers to attain permanency for children in foster care. Full-time attorneys are needed in the following areas: Jackson County, St. Louis County, and the 25th and 39th Circuits. We are also seeking contracted attorneys to serve in the following Circuits: 7th, 16th, 21st, 25th, and 39th.

Attorneys will provide legal assistance in ongoing cases from the time a petition is filed until the time a child reaches permanency through reunification, guardianship, or adoption.

Qualifications

A Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution and member of the Missouri Bar. Litigation experience preferred. Experience in juvenile, family, or administrative law preferred. Excellent research and writing skills are required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork. They should also possess strong time management abilities, intellectual aptitude and curiosity, as well as openness to feedback and continued learning. Overnight travel may be required.
