Bankruptcy

The Department of Social Services (DSS) may be a party in a bankruptcy proceeding related to a client, vendor, employee, etc. If an employee of DSS is alerted in writing or verbally that a client, employee, or vendor has filed bankruptcy, it is called a notice of bankruptcy.  When a client, employee, or vendor has named DSS as a creditor, DSS will receive copies of documents or correspondence filed in bankruptcy court. The notice of bankruptcy should be scanned and emailed to DFAS.bankruptcynotices@dss.mo.gov. If scanning/emailing is not an option, mail documents/correspondence to:
