TEFRA Filing Fees

The Missouri General Assembly has revised 208.215.13(2), RSMo. Effective August 28, 2007,

“The Department of Social Services, MO HealthNet Division, shall provide payment to the recorder of deeds the fees set for similar filings in connection with the filing of a lien and any other necessary documents”.

To obtain payment for filing fees from the MO HealthNet Division, counties must be registered with the State of Missouri Accounting System (SAM II). A registration form can be accessed via the internet at http://oa.mo.gov/acct/pdffiles/vendor_input_ach_eftd.pdf.

The Division will enclose a TEFRA Lien Fee Invoice form with each lien it requests to be filed. The County must complete the form and mail it for reimbursement. The TEFRA Lien Fee Invoice form will be made available on the Department of Social Services website.
